Municipality Day/Brava: Exhibitors satisfied with the results of the 12th edition of the Agricultural Fair

The exhibitors who participated in the 12th edition of the Agricultural Fair on the island of Brava, entitled Feira Agropecuária e Inovações – FAI'23, say they are satisfied with the results obtained in the three days.

The fair, which took place from the 21st to the 23rd of June, had the participation of 22 exhibitors, from different areas and coming, in addition to Brava, also from the island of Fogo.

At the end of this edition, Inforpress went to talk to some of the participants to find out how the three days of the fair went and “satisfaction” was demonstrated by almost all exhibitors.

Maria Teixeira came from the island of Fogo and says she is satisfied with the results obtained, as she managed to obtain the expected and initially outlined results.

According to the exhibitor, it has been seven years since she has participated in this fair and each year the results are better and better for this participant, who brought to the public various handicraft products and some products from land such as manecon, among others.

Right next to it, we find Luís Mendes, a farmer from Brava who was present at the fair who says he sold almost everything he took to the exhibition and an income that, as he said, will serve to solve some pending situations.

This Brave native says he has been participating since the first edition and every year he tries to present different products, although the lack of water does not always allow it, but every year he manages to get better results.

From the delegation of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the delegate, Ermelindo Barros, also made a positive assessment of the event, noting that during all these days, they witnessed the grandeur and diversity of agribusiness, which not only feeds the world, but also boosts the nation's economy.

Likewise, he considered it exciting to see the “passion, effort and dedication” of each of the stallholders in presenting the best of their productions, technologies and innovations.

At this fair, he underlined that they had the opportunity to share knowledge, exchange experiences and explore new solutions to boost business and leverage agricultural development.

The twelfth edition of the fair, which took place under the motto “Strengthening competitiveness in the agribusiness sector”, was organized within the scope of the municipal festivities, celebrated on the 24th of June, and aims to “promote the development of the agrarian economy and boost the competitiveness of the sector”.

Normally, the fair takes place over two days, but this year, at the request of the exhibitors themselves, it took place from the 21st to the 23rd, with the participation of more exhibitors and greater involvement of the public in visiting the site.
