Meeting between the Mayor of Brava and the Brava Music School, to strengthen the partnership and preserve traditions
Cidade de Nova Sintra, January 30, 2025 (Bravanews) - The Mayor of Brava, Amândio Brito, had the opportunity to meet with representatives of the Brava Music School, with the aim of learning more about the project and exploring ways to strengthen the partnership between the two institutions.
During the meeting, various strategies were discussed to mobilize support in order to guarantee the materials needed to continue the school's activities, as well as to expand the project to the towns of Nossa Senhora do Monte and Furna.
The Music School goes beyond artistic teaching and is an important pillar for rescuing and preserving the island's cultural traditions. The project aims to ensure that future generations can continue to celebrate and value Brava's rich cultural identity.
"With unity and commitment, we will continue to invest in the future of our culture and our young people!" said Amândio Brito, stressing the importance of creating an environment that favors artistic and cultural development on Brava.
The Brava City Council reaffirms its commitment to strengthening cultural education, offering support to the Artistic School and ensuring that the island's music and traditions continue to be passed on to new generations.
