MINISTER OF STATE AND NATIONAL DEFENSE AWARDS COAST GUARD, ASA, ENAPOR AND MR. AUGUSTO VASCONCELOS LOPES
As part of the ceremony celebrating the 30th anniversary of the Coast Guard Command, the Minister of State and National Defense, Janine Lélis, decorated this Command with the 1st Class Armed Forces Star of Honor Medal.
According to the Minister, this decoration “in a clear sign of recognition” to the Coast Guard, “for its notable achievements, such as the crucial role it played in moments of crisis, the ostensible commitment during the most varied situations, on the different islands that make up our country".
He also awarded the Military Medal for Relevant Services 1st Class to the companies ENAPOR (Ports of Cape Verde) and ASA (Empresa Nacional de Aeroportos e Segurança Area, SA) and Mr. Augusto Vasconcelos Lopes.
According to the Minister of State and National Defense “this is a deserved public recognition for all the support and partnership they have given to the Coast Guard, contributing decisively to ensuring the fulfillment of its duty”.
He also recognized all national and international partners who have made their contribution over the 30 years of the Coast Guard Command.
