MpD accuses RCV journalist Carlos Santos of lack of impartiality at “Café Central”

In a press release sent to Inforpress, the party points out that the public radio journalist's performance has been characterized by a lack of rigor, accusing Carlos Santos of “ rarely being able to provide correct information and general knowledge” and of maintaining unbiased dialogues with the program's editors.

“Journalist Carlos Santos often invites people to the RCV Café Central to cancel, question or cast doubt on previous guests, when they are close to the MpD. This behavior cannot be considered the exercise of the right to a hearing,” reads the press release.

The MpD used today's edition of the program to exemplify the complaint, pointing out that the guest of the edition “ attacked” the president of the MpD when commenting on Ulisses Correia e Silva's previous participation in the program, with the reinforcement of the journalist's summary.

It is worth highlighting, and this interview with Mr Alte Pinho was also evident, the always quick summary that journalist Carlos Santos makes of his guests, and thus attributing to him the conclusions that he, Carlos Santos, makes, highlighting negative aspects directed at the MpD and the Government ”, the note continues.

In this sense, the MpD stated that it is preparing a report to present to the Social Communication Regulatory Authority (ARC) in which “ all the facts that substantiate the complaint ” will be exposed.

The press release states that the complaint is made “ with all sense of responsibility ” and “ without fear” that it will be used by certain sectors to cry out that there is censorship or a lack of freedom of the press because, as it states, “ the free press is one of the great achievements of January 13, so it must be free and not subordinated to the interests of one or another journalist or political subject ”.
