Brava City Council celebrates culture month with the Musical Show "This is More Lusofonia"
Brava, October 4, 2023 - In celebration of Culture Month, October, Brava City Council is pleased to announce a special event that promises to fill Praça Eugênio Tavares with Portuguese-speaking rhythm and energy. Next Saturday, October 7th, the island of Brava will be the stage for the musical show "Isto é Mais Lusofonia", a celebration of the diversity and cultural richness of Portuguese-speaking countries.
With the participation of musicians from the Sofia Lourenço Dance Company, as well as special guests, this event promises a memorable night for all lovers of music and Portuguese-speaking culture. Praça Eugénio Tavares will be the perfect setting for this celebration, offering a warm and cozy atmosphere.
"Isto é Mais Lusofonia" will embrace the musical and cultural diversity of Lusophone countries, presenting a mix of rhythms ranging from fado from Portugal to funaná from Cape Verde, including samba from Brazil and much more. The Sofia Lourenço Dance Company was created in 2000 with the aim of dissemination, miscegenation and cultural and social inclusion. They have performed several times from north to south of Portugal and Spain. In 2015 they worked in the State of Paraná, Brazil. They participated in several social volunteer actions. Composed of 50 elements from 5 to 70 years old. In Cape Verde the show will be composed of 20 elements with the title: Isto é Mais Lusofonia; a musical that mixes the culture of Portuguese-speaking countries.
