New backhoe acquired by Brava City Council for environmental interventions
City of Nova Sintra, January 16, 2024 (Bravanews) - The most recent acquisition of Brava City Council (CMB) has arrived in Porto da Praia - a state-of-the-art backhoe loader. This achievement was possible thanks to financing provided by the Government of Cape Verde, through the Environment Fund.
For Francisco Tavares, President of CMB, the new backhoe loader represents a significant milestone for CMB, as it will allow for faster, more effective and efficient interventions in favor of the island's environment. With cutting-edge technology and improved capabilities, the equipment will strengthen the City Council's efforts to promote sustainable practices and the preservation of the local ecosystem.
“The investment in the new equipment reflects the commitment of CMB and the Government to collaborate for the well-being of the community. By joining forces, both are committed to providing quality services that meet people's needs and contribute to a healthier environment”, adds Tavares.
The backhoe, now available for use by CMB, marks the beginning of a new phase in municipal operations, enabling the team to face environmental challenges with greater efficiency. Brava City Council and the Government thus reaffirm their joint commitment to working in favor of people and the environment, aiming for a more sustainable future for the island.
This acquisition stands out as an important step towards local development, showing the authorities' continued dedication to improving infrastructure and promoting responsible environmental practices on the beautiful island of Brava.
