Organization of Friends of the Brava Schools elects new board
City of Pawtucket, February 3, 2025 (Bravanews) - Last week, the new board of the Friends of Brava Schools Organization was sworn in, which aims to continue the work of supporting and improving the educational conditions of students on Brava Island. The new leadership is made up of well-known names in the community with a strong commitment to education and the well-being of the students.
The new president of the organization is Henrique Burgo who takes over with the aim of strengthening the work done by the Direccao Cessante. He has the support and trust of the members of the community to move forward with initiatives aimed at the educational development of the island.
The Vice President of the organization, Helena, also brings a wealth of experience in the social and educational field. Together, they aim to promote projects that improve school infrastructures and ensure a more welcoming environment for students.
The Secretariat will be in charge of Geovany, who brings a dynamic and organized approach to managing the organization's administrative processes, while the Treasury will be managed by Mily, a professional with great financial management skills and a focus on making good use of resources.
On the other hand, the Accountant, Zeca, takes responsibility for ensuring transparency and good financial management in the organization.
With this new direction, the expectation is that the Organization of Friends of Brava Schools will continue to make a significant contribution to the educational development of the island of Brava, joining forces with the community to ensure a better future for the young people of Brava.
Remembering that the outgoing President, Eligio Burgo was at the head of the organization for more than eight years.
