Led by inspiring figures such as Tony Di Lidia, Lora Di Iva, Beth Gomes, Lele Lobo, Tchale Di Iva, Adilson De Andrade, Margarida Oliveira, Maria Fernandes, Julieta Silvia Rodrigues Soares, Ginquel Varela, the group joined forces to organize an event completely unlike anything that had been done before. They belonged to the Milan Association, under the leadership of the outstanding president Dede Di Caca.

With dedication and enthusiasm, the group planned the first party in honor of Nossa Senhora da Graça. They decided to organize a Miss pageant, introduce sports competitions, start cleaning campaigns and even bring in famous artists, such as the "Irmãos Unidos di Fogo" and Rommy Montero from the United States of America. The result was spectacular: the All-rounder was full, the area lively and an evident joy on all faces. Merchants and immigrants were happy with the success of the event.

The undertaking was not without its challenges. There were logistical difficulties, transportation problems, and marketing hurdles to overcome. However, the group's determination persisted, and they joined forces to face each challenge that came their way. The devotion to Nossa Senhora da Graça and the belief in the value of what they were doing pushed the young people to continue, regardless of the difficulties.

Today, 17 years later, it is inevitable to feel a mixture of sadness and longing, as the circumstances of this year prevented the festive activities from taking place. The lack of interest on the part of young people, problems of resources and abandonment by the local authorities, brought with it a forced pause in the celebrations that have meant so much to the community over the years. However, even with the current adversities, the group is proud of its history and achievements.

The history of the "Milan" group is one of success, persistence and unity. As they look to the future, they find hope in the possibility of other young people joining together, with the confidence that, God willing, they will be able to overcome whatever obstacles lie ahead.

Ultimately, devotion to Our Lady of Grace and the strength of the community are the driving forces behind the journey. Even if this year is marked by a regrettable absence of festive activities, the faith and the spirit of unity remain intact, preparing the ground for a triumphant return in the future. Thank you to all those who were part of this memorable journey, as the true essence of the celebrations lies in the dedication and love shared by all.
