Born on December 9, 1984, on the picturesque island of Brava, in the town of Pe da Rocha, Vivi was enveloped by a fervent passion for the king sport, football, from an early age. Although I dreamed of being a goalkeeper on the pitch
improvised from the sidewalk roads, it was his devotion to refereeing that led him to new horizons.
In 2007, he began his arbitration training, marking his first step into arbitration in the Brava regional championship. With notable performances, he was quickly recognized and promoted to national referee the following year. Over the course of 16 years, he lent his voice and authority to the games, raising the Brava flag high and representing it with distinction on the highest stages.
A memorable moment occurred in 2017, when he had the honor of refereeing the exciting semi-finals of the national championship, a feat that testifies to his competence and excellence in refereeing. Now, with 17 years dedicated to this noble art, Vivi is about to leave the field, but makes it clear that she still has a lot to offer the world of arbitration.
Ovidio Tavares is, without a shadow of a doubt, an immortalized figure in the history of Brava football. His legacy of professionalism, passion and dedication will continue to inspire future generations, leaving an indelible mark in the hearts of all who had the privilege of witnessing his talent on the field.
Thank you, Vivi, for everything you gave to sport and the community. Your name will forever resonate in the annals of Brava football.
DESPORTO BRAVA BRINGING TO YOU THE BEST OF SPORT.
