PAICV/Brava raises suspicions of harmful management, embezzlement, embezzlement of public money, benefits to relatives and friends, at Brava City Council

Nova Sintra City, Jan 21 (Bravanews) - The African Independence Party of Cape Verde, Brava region, in public statements, raises suspicions regarding the management of the town hall in Brava in recent years.

Supporting a post by President Francisco Tavares himself, where he would inventory Brava's earnings in recent years, bringing to light amounts spent on various projects, the said Party concluded that with rivers of money received there was no due correspondence in investments.

This is scandalous”, began by writing the PAICV in one of the social networks.

“According to information from Mr. Mayor of Brava Francisco Tavares, if all this is true, the Municipality of Brava, jumped from a scenario (until 2016) in which it received 53,500 THOUSAND contos, to a current scenario (since 2016) in which he receives more than 147,000,000$00, not counting the 400% increase in program contracts”, they wrote.

To ask where are the results for so much money received, in which projects, when, how?

Faced with these questions, the Party goes further and tries to find answers to so much money and low results.

Without referring to names and cases, the PAICV/Brava, appealed to the memory of the people of Brava, accusing the President of benefiting “a certain friend and driver who became rich on Brava, another driver traveling to Portugal and China and the USA”

Still “appearance of first floor houses in Brava overnight, purchase of personal cars, creation of orange companies” among many other accusations.

When asked, the PAICV claims to have all the evidence of these accusations and will present them at the appropriate time and in the appropriate instances, as this disregard for Brava cannot stop there.

“There is no money for anything else, only for personal and unnecessary benefits. Sport died, Carnival died, pilgrimage parties died, exchanges died, etc,” they conclude.

In a comment on the same PAICV post, the Mayor asks the party to show its face and stop hiding behind a white star on a red background.

We transcribe in full the reaction of the Mayor Francisco Tavares.

“I invite PAICV BRAVA to a PUBLIC MEETING in the Salão Nobre of the CMB, with the presence of citizens and the media for an enlightening debate on BRAVA and on my/management of the MPD at the head of the CMB. The debate must be broadcast live on facebook and must be recorded from start to finish”.

Each one will present their arguments, their data, their facts, their proofs and documents that support the statements and accusations on both sides.

Because the PAICV BRAVA is acting with total irresponsibility and hiding behind a "white star inscribed on a red background" (even in this there is falsehood, because the PAICV is/was BLACK STAR? After all, it should be YELLOW?).
