PAICV in Brava questions the whereabouts of the amount promised for the construction of the Palhal Plate

The pledge of the amount, made in 2020 by the then Minister of Sports, was received with enthusiasm by the local community, which had long demanded the construction of the Palhal Plaque. However, to date, there is no information about the whereabouts of the money that would have been approved by the head of the Sports department.

PAICV in Brava is demanding explanations about the destination of this amount and criticizes the lack of transparency in this process. According to the party, the situation raises serious concerns about the management of public resources and the responsibility of those in power.

In turn, Brava City Council defends the urgent need to build the Palhal Plaque and justifies the use of bank loans as a measure to speed up the process and meet the needs of the community. However, the lack of clarification on the amount promised by the Minister of Sports raises doubts about the financial viability of this initiative.

Furthermore, the decision by the local council to resort to a bank loan with market interest to finance the construction of Placa de Palhal raises questions about the municipality's financial management. Why take out a loan when there was already money promised for that purpose? This is an issue that PAICV hopes to see clarified by the competent authorities.
