Praia d'Aguada resumes inter-island connections
Ship was under repairs, but is now ready to start operating
The Minister of Tourism and Transport guaranteed this Wednesday, the 11th, that the ship Praia d'Aguada was certified, this Tuesday, and should resume connections later this week.
As for the Krioula, José Gonçalves said that the catamaran had a “very serious breakdown”, so the shaft and propeller had to be manufactured, so it would take “some time” to be inoperative.
Regarding the acquisition of Cabo Verde Interilhas, Chiquinho BL, which is on its way to the Archipelago, the Minister reconfirmed that it will exclusively connect the São Vicente/Santo Antão line.
“This boat that comes is cut and dimensioned and is even beyond what is offered in this market. It is the best vessel to serve more adequately, predictably and regularly, and has innovative features, for example, for greater comfort for passengers. Therefore, it is the right boat”, underlined the Minister.
The new CVII ship has been sailing since the 5th, heading towards our country.
