Mayor of Brava receives AFC delegation to discuss "Brava the Destination" project
Cidade de Nova Sintra, April 23, 2025 (Bravanews) - The Mayor of Brava, Amândio Semedo de Brito, recently received a delegation from AFC - the financial institution and guarantor of the Brava o Destino project. The visit, led by the project's mentor, engineer Andy Andrade, was mainly aimed at taking stock of the progress of this initiative, which is considered crucial for the island's future.
During the meeting, the various potentialities of Brava and the fundamental role that the "Brava the Destination" project will play in its socio-economic development were discussed. Those present agreed that the realization of this project will represent a transformative milestone for Brava in all areas, and therefore deserves the recognition of the local and national authorities.
Alongside the "Brava the Destination" project, other significant advances for the island were highlighted. The long-awaited daily connection to the island of Fogo and the other islands of the archipelago, the construction of the new Health Center and the imminent availability of water - whose system is already in the testing phase - were pointed out as the harbinger of a new era for the people of Brava.
Despite its geographical limits, Brava demonstrates competitive attributes that could propel the island to regain its prominence on the national stage. The visit by the AFC delegation reinforces the importance of collaboration and strategic investment for Brava's promising future.
