President of TACV announces resumption of direct flights to Brazil and the USA “soon”
The new president of TACV's board of directors, Pedro Barros, assured today that the national air carrier “will soon resume” direct flights to Brazil and the United States of America.
“There is a commitment from the Government to have a connection this year (...), the Cape Verdean community in Brazil and the United States of America can be aware that we will have an end-to-end connection”, declared Pedro Barros, to Inforpress.
According to what he said, Cape Verdeans will soon have the possibility of traveling to and from the USA and Brazil with direct flights, but also to other European cities.
TACV will begin weekly flights to Spain this Tuesday, the 30th, in partnership with the tour operator CN TRAVEL.
The company also informs that the Sal/Barcelona/Sal flight will be on Tuesdays and will be sold exclusively by the tour operator, and will not be available for public sale at this stage.
This operation reinforces the promotion of Cape Verde as a tourist destination in the Spanish market and opens doors for the national company in transporting tourists to and from Spain, according to the same source.
The company reinforces its commitment to gradually adjust the capacity of international and domestic operations depending on market demand.
