President of Brava City Council expresses frustration with low participation at the meeting in Nossa Senhora do Monte and criticizes negative comments on social media

On the other hand, there are critics who engage in destructive behavior, in the case under analysis, such as hate speech, demonstratively political and devoid of ideas and solutions, damaging the environment and hindering productive dialogue. These negative actions often obscure legitimate messages of criticism and make it more difficult for people to separate the wheat from the chaff.

The mayor highlighted that it will be important to promote a healthy environment where constructive criticism is valued and encouraged, while combating harmful behavior. Furthermore, it is essential to remember that social media can be a powerful tool for civic mobilization and awareness, as long as it is used responsibly and respectfully. Therefore, the discussion about social media critics must be done with the understanding that diversity of opinions is essential for democracy, but mutual respect is also fundamental for effective and constructive debate.

Still regarding the meeting, President Francisco Tavares said that “it is extremely disappointing to see a low participation in meetings like this, where we seek to listen to residents' concerns and ideas to improve our community", said the Mayor. "In addition, we face a wave of criticism on social media that contributes nothing to the development of our parish. It's time to come together and work together to make a difference."

Tavares invited citizens to become more actively involved in local political processes by attending meetings, presenting constructive proposals and contributing to a more collaborative environment.
