City of Nova Sintra, January 1, 2025 (Bravanews) - On December 29, 2024, the Mayor of Brava, Amândio Brito, was present at the Pathfinders Gala, an event held by the Seventh-day Adventist Church, which stood out for the celebration of the work and commitment of this religious congregation to families and local communities.

Speaking at the event, the President expressed his honor at being invited to the occasion and highlighted the importance of the role of churches, especially the Seventh-day Adventist Church, in community leadership and governance on the island. "It is with great pleasure that I participate in this event and I want to make it clear that the City Council is fully available to establish a strong and constructive partnership with this and other churches, in the search for a common good and an increasingly better Brava", stated Amândio Brito.

The President also highlighted the positive impact that religious organizations, such as the Adventist Church, have had on the island’s various communities, particularly in terms of supporting families and strengthening community ties. He sent a message of deep gratitude to the Pathfinder Club, recognizing the tireless work and dedication of the club’s members in activities that promote the social development and moral and spiritual education of the young people of Brava.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Pathfinder Club for its valuable contribution to the families and communities of our island. Their commitment to the values they seek to convey is an inspiration to us all," said the President, who also pledged to strengthen relations with all organizations and groups that express an interest in contributing to the continued development of the island.

The event was a clear demonstration that the Church, the City Council and other sectors of society can work together in search of a more prosperous and supportive future for Brava, consolidating unity and collective commitment to the well-being of Brava families.
