Nova Sintra, Jan 21 (Bravanews) - In a post on one of the social networks, the African Party for the Independence of Cape Verde, Brava, claims that the Mayor of Brava failed before the demands of the World Bank regarding the rehabilitation of the road to Nossa Senhora do Monte.
“While another Mayor (read as mayor of Ribeira Grande Santiago) is facing the World Bank, our President (Francisco Tavares) does not know what to do”.
At issue is the replacement of sidewalk by sidewalk in the section that goes from Cidade de Nova Sintra to Nossa Senhora do Monte, going against most roads in Cape Verde.
The glaring thing about this, according to PAICV/Brava, is that the President said he was not ashamed to be allowing this work to be done, in clear disagreement with the opinion of the majority of users.
“You have to shake hands with Brava! Those who cannot find the strength to fight for the interests of their municipality cannot serve as president of Brava.”
The said party goes further and points the finger at the mayor, suspecting vested interests that “have nothing to do with what the people of Brava need”.
“Brava does not deserve this president. He is not ashamed, but we are ashamed”, he concludes.
