Mayor of Brava promotes meeting with the population of Baleia

Brava, June 17, 2023 - The mayor of Brava, Francisco Tavares, held a landmark meeting with residents of Baleia, with the aim of strengthening direct dialogue between the municipal administration and the local community.

The meeting, which took place earlier this week, was attended by more than 15 residents (representing all residents), who gathered at the local community center to discuss issues pertaining to the development of the locality and present specific demands to the president.

During the meeting, President Francisco Tavares showed a genuine interest in listening to the concerns and expectations of the population of Baleia. Residents had the opportunity to express their needs and make suggestions for improvements in infrastructure, sports, housing, and other essential aspects of the community.

The mayor highlighted the importance of these meetings for participatory and transparent management. He emphasized that the municipal administration is committed to working closely with local communities to address challenges and seek joint solutions.

During the meeting, relevant topics were discussed, such as opening a work front, repairing the wall protecting the sports plaque, painting and minor repairs at the community centre, with a view to the upcoming Santaninha festivities, as well as support in the construction of bathrooms in some homes.

President Tavares undertook to carry out all these works within the budgetary and administrative possibilities of the municipality, adding that full attention will be given to repairing dilapidated houses and building a small square, as part of the requalification of the central area of Baleia.

He emphasized that the active participation of the population is essential for the development of effective public policies and that his office will always be open to listening to the needs of the community.

After the end of the meeting, the residents of Baleia showed satisfaction with the initiative of the mayor and hope that the proposals and claims will be effectively considered and implemented in the future.

The meeting between the mayor of Brava and the residents of Baleia represents an important step towards strengthening ties between the public administration and the local population, promoting a more participatory management focused on the real needs of the community.
