Professor Elisangela Pinheiro is the new director of the Nova Sintra Educational Complex
Secondary school teacher Elisangela Pinheiro was appointed today as the new director of the Nova Sintra Education Complex, succeeding teacher David Pascoal.
The new principal says she is grateful for the trust the outgoing principal has placed in her over the past three years as deputy head of secondary education.
Elisangela Pinheiro also stressed that she was aware of the responsibility and the challenge she would have from now on, but she pledged to work with a lot of "confidence, humility and responsibility" for the development of the educational community on the island.
"Next week we'll be presenting the new management team, but there's been no change from the old one, we'll just have a new face in the group," he said.
For his part, the former director, David Pascoal, said goodbye with a sense of accomplishment and stressed that he was deeply satisfied with the dedication shown by everyone throughout his term.
However, he assured that he was certain that with the new leadership the educational community would continue to grow and assured that he was fully available to collaborate with the new management during this transition phase.
"I am committed to ensuring that the change is as smooth and seamless as possible and I will be here to support the new management team and all my co-workers if they feel it necessary," he concluded.
