São Filipe: Hotel The View wants to be a reference on the island of Fogo in the first phase and in Cape Verde in the later phase – Paulo Dias

The guarantee was left by emigrant and investor in the tourism sector Paulo Dias on the day that, formally, the hotel “The View”, located near the port of Vale dos Cavaleiros, opened its doors and began operating as such.

The space was initially conceived as a hotel, but first the emigrant wanted to enjoy it with his family, highlighting that the time has come to offer this development to the island as something of reference.

Paulo Dias recognizes that investing in tourism on the island of Fogo can be an adventure, but remembers that the island has enormous potential in terms of tourism and that it is up to each person to know how to explore the existing potential to help the island develop each more and more

“It’s another project and investment made out of love for the land, a dream since I was a child, even before emigrating, to one day have something in my homeland” said Paulo Dias, highlighting that this is how he sees the investment and not as a project that in the short or medium term it could take away the amount invested.

The entrepreneur confessed that he feels fulfilled with the realization of an idea from more than 30 years ago.

The island can explore sun and beach tourism, but the potential is more focused on rural and mountain tourism and with the volcano being the main focus, but we also have an extensive black sand beach which is one of the largest in Cape Verde , highlighting that it is a question of knowing how to explore it like the islands of Sal and Boa Vista.

“We have many things we can offer tourists,” said Paulo Dias, highlighting that the objective is to bring American tourists.

As an example, he pointed out that the hotel received some American clients who were visiting Cape Verde for the first time and are enchanted with the island and have even expressed their desire to reserve the space for them next year, which demonstrates the potential that the Cape Verde Islands.

In this first phase, The View has ten bedrooms, cinema and games rooms, swimming pool, disco, entertainment areas with capacity for more than two thousand people and which can be used for any musical band to perform.

“We have a little bit of everything in the hotel and that is what we want to offer to people who arrive and want to stay all day”, said the emigrant/entrepreneur, highlighting that the view of Brava and Ilhéus do Rombo to watch the sunset or listen At night, the crashing of the waves is priceless.
