São João Baptista/Brava: Former President of the Republic of Cape Verde is the party-goer of Nhô Sandjon 2024

Former President of the Republic of Cape Verde Jorge Carlos Fonseca is the flag-celebrator of São João Baptista 2024, who, in addition to maintaining tradition, stressed that he will work on some other innovations.

But, as he said, it was a last-minute decision, as he hadn't decided until lunchtime, as he hesitated due to the fact that he didn't live on the island and had other projects, but that later he thought better of it and derived the connection that owns with the island eventually accepted.

According to the same source, Brava is an island that means a lot to him, not only emotionally for having experienced great moments in his childhood and adolescence, but also an island that is a reference in terms of life.

For the year 2024, he says he hasn't thought it through yet, but he promises to bring the usual cultural traits and try to introduce some novelties with a focus on “dynamise” this party.

He added that he has the collaboration of the Municipality of Brava, associations and expects the collaboration of the entire society of Brava, so that next year he can make a São João as good as the one celebrated this year and perhaps give it a different touch.
