With this irregularity, the transfer of patients was being ensured by the vessel Rabo de Junco, which would have to move from the Fogo pier to Brava and then return to the original pier with the patients.
Today, the “Ilhéu dos Pássaros”, a Coast Guard ship, arrived and moored at Furna's pier, with 11 soldiers to join the rest who arrived on Brava Island on Saturday, and thus start a new phase on the island, with the installation of a military detachment and a Coast Guard naval unit that will ensure the transfer of patients and patrol in the region.
The public presentation will be made tomorrow, Monday, at 4 pm, at Brava City Council, chaired by the Prime Minister, Ulisses Correia e Silva, the Minister of State and National Defence, Janine Lélis, and the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, Rear Admiral António Monteiro.
In a publication made on the Brava City Council page, on the Facebook social network, President Francisco Tavares also announced, for tomorrow, the presentation of the architectural project for the new Brava Health Centre.
