Social Diagnosis and Local Projects in Brava: Partnership with the Municipal Council of Oeiras - PT
In the main hall of the Oeiras City Council, an important event marked the presentation of the results of six months of work dedicated to the social diagnosis of Brava. The initiative, which aims to understand and address the social needs of the community, also revealed two ongoing projects: Mini Handebol and Escola Artística da Brava.
Dr. Maria Assunção Tavares, Social Technician at the Oeiras City Council, played a central role in coordinating these efforts. The partnership between the Municipal Council of Oeiras and the Municipal Council of Brava, Cape Verde, is fundamental to the success of these initiatives.
The work carried out so far was the result of the collaboration of several institutions and personalities on the island, demonstrating the involvement and support of the local community. This collaborative approach highlights the joint commitment to improving social conditions and promoting sustainable development in Brava.
The two ongoing projects, Mini Handebol and Escola Artística da Brava, represent tangible investments in the community, seeking to provide meaningful opportunities for local residents, especially young people.
The presentation of results and ongoing projects marks an important step in the implementation of concrete and tangible actions, based on a deep understanding of Brava's specific social needs. The community now looks forward to the positive impacts these initiatives can bring to the well-being and continued development of the island.
