São João Baptista/Brava: Organization Miss São João 2023 wants to bet on punctuality as one of the points to change concept
The promoter of the Miss São João 2023 pageant, Nelson Miranda, assured today that this edition will have news, but will also be marked by punctuality to change some concepts that people have about the “Miss” pageants.
The promoter of the Miss São João 2023 pageant, Nelson Miranda, assured today that this edition will have news, but will also be marked by punctuality to change some concepts that people have about the “Miss” pageants.
Speaking to the press, Nelson Miranda guaranteed that almost everything was ready for the event scheduled for the next 22nd, at 21:00, stressing that “everything is under control”, because it was planned in time.
Nelson Miranda said that everything leads to believe that it will be a success, taking into account that all the details have been worked on since the beginning.
This year, Miranda wants to introduce some innovations, trying to change the idea of what people think about the “Miss” contests, starting with punctuality, since people have been complaining that activities of this type start and finish late, she also wants to put entertainment in between, such as dance groups and singing artists.
In this edition, nine candidates from different locations on the island of Brava participate, because the intention was to cover almost all areas, but it was not possible, so it only has candidates from Furna, Nossa Senhora do Monte, Mato Grande, Mato, Vila de Nova Sintra, Lomba Lomba, among others.
Asked about the difficulties in organizing this event, he said that there are several, starting with the issue of sponsorships, since Brava is a small island where there are few companies, but that some have sponsored and also the emigrant community in the United States of America has embraced this project.
Getting a number of candidates was also one of the difficulties highlighted by the promoter, since, as he explained, many girls on Brava are a little shy and are ashamed to face the public to parade, among other aspects.
Logistics is also one of the “Achilles’ heels” for organizing any event of this scale, especially since Brava does not have the structure to do so and everything has to be rented on other islands, starting with the stage, which ends up making the event more expensive. .
The promoter calls for massive participation by the population of Brave and visitors, but also warns of compliance with the schedule so that everything can go as planned.
Likewise, he asks the public to support the candidates in the best way, since, as he highlighted, people often take advantage of the activities to make memes and post them on social networks, which causes some constraints even in getting candidates in the next editions.
