Cape Verdean airline TACV – Cabo Verde Airlines will resume commercial flights to Boston, in the United States, and to Brazil later this year. The information was confirmed this Thursday by Prime Minister Ulisses Correia e Silva.

The announcement was made during an open conversation with hundreds of young people at the 'Jovem Tek' event, held at the Cabo Verde Technology Park, in Praia.

According to the head of government, all necessary preparations are underway to ensure the reestablishment of air connections with the two strategic destinations. “It is an obvious need not only for the Cape Verdean diaspora, but also for trade, business and mobility relations,” Ulisses Correia e Silva told the press.

The resumption of flights is seen as an important step towards strengthening ties with the diaspora, boosting international trade and increasing mobility opportunities between Cape Verde and destination countries.
