Digital Terrestrial Television will reach the town of Pau (Brava) in a compromise between CMB and the Government of Cape Verde
City of Nova Sintra, November 24, 2023 (Bravanews) - In a joint effort to eliminate so-called "shadow zones" and provide broader access to communication, the Brava City Council (CMB) and the Government of Cape Verde joined forces to bring Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) to the town of Pau.
The commitment was made to ensure that the Pau region not only enjoys an improved television signal, but also receives quality radio coverage. “CMB da Brava is leading the project, financing and building both the shelter and the tower that will accommodate the necessary equipment for the successful implementation of DTT”, said mayor Francisco Tavares.
The Government of Cape Verde is contributing financially to the project, demonstrating its commitment to bringing the latest and most efficient transmission technology to all communities, regardless of their geographic location.
In addition to advances in communication, the commitment also extends to infrastructural improvements in the region. CMB assured that, along with the implementation of DTT, there will be investments to improve the road and access descent to "Pau" by 2024, thus solidifying the commitment to improving the quality of life and connectivity for local residents.
With this joint initiative, "Pau" is set to benefit not only from improved TV and radio broadcasting, but also from improved access and more robust infrastructure, promoting the development and well-being of the local community.
