What was thought to be a problem limited to certain areas of the building turned out to be more serious than initially diagnosed. As a result, CMB was forced to review and expand the scope of the project, anticipating a significant increase in the budget ”, said mayor Francisco Tavares. It is estimated that costs could triple or even quadruple given the magnitude of the necessary interventions.

The revised project includes several improvements aimed at optimizing the functionality of the Kindergarten and enhancing the safety of children, as well as teaching staff and staff. Among the main changes proposed are the application of concrete throughout the structure, the demolition and reconstruction of several walls, the complete renovation of the electrical and hydraulic networks, the elimination of "corners" in the building to promote a safer environment, the construction of an expanded kitchen and modification of the entrances.

The remodeling process will be documented through images, with comparative photos of the initial state and progress of the work being made available, along with sketches that highlight the changes planned for the building.

Despite the challenges encountered, CMB assured that it is committed to ensuring the completion of the works before the start of the next academic year, scheduled for September 2024. To meet this deadline, the City Council is mobilizing the necessary financial resources and seeking partnerships to ensure the success of the project to revitalize the Children's Garden in Cachaço.

The local community is being regularly informed about the progress of the works, and it is hoped that the initiative will result in a safer and more functional environment for children who attend the educational institution.
