Young athletes and the population of Fajã D'Água complain about the degradation of the multipurpose facility and ask for intervention from the Brava City Council

In recent months, the condition of the multipurpose facility has deteriorated rapidly, with damaged floors, rusty fencing and a general lack of maintenance. The structure, which is essential for sports and community events, is becoming increasingly inoperative, compromising not only the safety of users but also the quality of the activities carried out.

In an emotional appeal, representatives of the local young athletes highlighted how the deterioration of the facility has limited training and competition opportunities, hampering the sporting development and wellbeing of the region’s youth. “We are urgently calling for help to restore the multipurpose facility. It is a vital facility for our community and deserves attention,” said one of the athletes.

The general population has also expressed frustration with the lack of investment and maintenance of the site. Many residents point out that the multipurpose site is a central point for social and cultural activities, and its current condition is negatively affecting community life.

At a time when the Brava City Council has inaugurated the Palhal multipurpose facility with great pomp and circumstance, it is now facing increasing pressure to meet the demands for the restoration of this infrastructure. A meeting is expected to be scheduled soon to discuss possible solutions and measures needed for the restoration of the multipurpose facility.
