“Zé Luís Solidário” project guarantees to work to address the island’s problems
The mentor of the “Zé Luís Solidário” project today gave a “positive assessment” of his visit to Brava, where he says he found that several people need support.
José Luís Martins, who spoke to Inforpress, considered the three days he spent visiting the island to be “very productive”, where, he said, his project was “very well recognized”.
“In the area of education, we visited the two groups on the island and we were able to observe in situ the degradation of the Nossa Senhora do Monte Basic School, which is not in good condition and is in urgent need of intervention,” he said.
Martins also stressed that in terms of housing and health, many people are in need of help and considered that this municipality faces several demands that, if the project could, would intervene in all of them.
“The Zé Luís Solidário project to help depends on the support of kind people. I am leaving with a sad heart, because I have seen that there are several people in need of our support in Brava”, he lamented.
However, he assured that when he returns to the United States of America he intends to meet with some emigrants from the island of Brava, to inform them about the problems that the project encountered in this municipality and find ways to minimize the problems.
